Amiko LX-800 - A powerful OTT receiver with built-in Wi-Fi and OS: Linux
OTT (Over The Top ), in turn, means making the TV signal available outside the operator's dedicated closed network. Within OTT, access to the broadcaster's television is obtained using any Internet connection. You just need to meet certain requirements, e.g. in terms of Internet speed. The minimum in this case is 10 Mb / s for HD and 25 Mb / s for 4K. OTT image and sound are not separated and are sent together with other data packets. This means that when the network is overloaded (e.g. due to downloading large amounts of data at the same time), the quality of sound and picture may deteriorate, and in extreme cases it will not be possible to receive TV. Therefore, it should be remembered, first of all, that when choosing TV in OTT technology, a high-speed connection is key.
